She has such fun playlists, super infectious energy, and somehow makes running feel like a party (again, I’m dead serious) Her vibe is very magnetic—she pushes you just enough to make you feel like a total badass, but always in the most fun, motivating way. DO HER FRIDAY MORNING 45 MIN!!! That was my first workout w her and now I can’t miss it—also never thought I could do 45 mins straight running, but here we are. If you get the chance, try it. You’ll leave with a huge smile, sense of accomplishment out the wazoo, and a seriously epic runner’s high. Katie is a legend.

Worth noting for anyone on the fence that they are very welcoming and you can challenge yourself at your own pace.

I learned more about where my strengths and weaknesses are and what I’m good at, as well as what I can improve on. Karen was a lovely instructor and we even laughed at times. see all reviewsI am a complete beginner and have no background in surfing or swimming lol I’m trying new things and this seemed super different. As soon as you walk in it was just a comfortable environment, and the vibes were chill. The instructor was able to explain and break things down very well. Offering different ways to achieve the correct form. I always appreciate when the class is self paced and listening to your body is encouraged which it was. If you’re looking for a challenge, this is one of those things that will be both fun and make you work up a sweat. I don’t usually do a lot of cardio so this definitely had me out of breath half way through class. You also get to learn many new things obviously there’s the forms associated with surfing but it is also a workout class, so you get a some of the core, cardio and stability out of it. Today is was circuit based which I did like. I found that I felt the muscles in my back working also which is a goal of mine to try to work more to make up for sitting at a desk more times than not. I really like this concept and think that if you’re looking for something different definitely give this a try!

I also never took a yoga class with pillows and blankets. It was all new to me. I would recommend this class for healing and people who want to just take it easy with nice slow deep stretches.

Also there’s an additional $5 for an insurance (it’s optional but I got it anyway just in case something breaks during the ride). Overall a good deal for a full loop ride in the park.
