see all reviewsQuite good and organised, nice experience as a first timer at this gym class! There are two instructors and they keep checking on us; someone was pregnant and I saw they kept checking on her which is great! Will come back again

see all reviewsBrazilian instructor: maybe 10-16 students(didnt actually count). The Professor showed us how to stop my enemy punching me. This is rare because most BJJ classes do not take into account striking. He then showed me how to take down my enemy with a body lock, and mount my enemy, and submit my enemy with an Americano, and when he defends it, submit him with an armbar instead. Because I am a 0 degree white belt, I have trouble transitioning from the Americano into the armbar seamlessly. I pray that as I practice, I will improve ;)

see all reviews2 degree black belt instructor: tons of students(didnt count). We started off with a game to train our reaction. Two people try to grab a block before the other person does, after the Professor gives instruction to. His instructions are mixed with other instructions to make the game more challenging. Then the real class started: the professor taught me how to sweep my enemy from a lasso position by hooking my enemy’s ankle after he drops down to combat base and then pull his arm and kick his ankles. He also showed me variations where my enemy’s leg is too far from me, then I will use my lasso leg to sweep him, instead of the other leg, and land right into an armbar submission. Finally he showed me how to sweep my enemy by going into inversion and then submitting him with an Oma Plateau. We ended with regular rolls. Because I am a 0 degree white belt, everyone passed my guard almost instantaneously lol. I pray that as I practice, i will improve :(

see all reviewsHKer instructor: one student. Private class yeah!!! Professor Nick mainly worked on positioning with me. This is important because my enemy will not be standing still when attacking me. No matter how good my striking is, stationary training can only get me so far. We did punching, kicking, elbowing, kneeing, and lots of core conditioning. We ended with kicking sparring with no punching or grappling. Befause I am a beginner, I had trouble moving my legs smoothly. I pray that as I practice, I will improve :(

see all reviewsBrazilian? Instructor: Dude was wearing a brazil t-shirt so I assume that is where he was from; 3 students but the big dude was late, so we had a semi-private class for almost half an hour. The professor asked me to do 50 jumping jets, 50 burpees, and 50 push ups as warm up. The teenager did not do them. I reckon it was because he had done the youth class right before this one. I then learned how to pass by enemy’s guard using the Tory Round Doe pass, then go on knee-on-belly. As my enemy tries to push my knee away, i grab his arm and defeat him with an arm bar or key moo ra. Because I am a beginner, I had trouble keeping my balance in the movements. We ended the class with 100 sit ups and one minute plank. Normally I can do 30 secs only, but today there were people doing Muay Thai sparring, which distracted me so I forgot about how hard the plank was, so I wnded up doing the full 60 seconds lol. I pray that as I practice, I will improve ;)

see all reviewsYoung instructor: 3 students. A young lady, a young dude, and an old dude(me). The Professor taught me lots of drills, including how to escape while my enemy has pinned me down, and also how to sweep my enemy while he has mounted me. We ended up with 3 rounds of sparring so that everyone goes with everyone. Because I am a 0 degree white belt, I cannot even do a knee on belly properly. My Senpai was walking me through how to put more weight on him, but no matter how hard I tried, he seemed to not feel anything lol!
