see all reviewsFriendly for beginners, basically is group cardio exercise plus core (e.g. plank) plus some basic movements on Thai (one coach lead the group exercise), and around 10 mins is single play with another coach on the movements you learnt from the group exercise. Good environment and shower room and no hard sell.

see all reviewsHKer instructor: one student. Private class yeah!!! Professor Nick mainly worked on positioning with me. This is important because my enemy will not be standing still when attacking me. No matter how good my striking is, stationary training can only get me so far. We did punching, kicking, elbowing, kneeing, and lots of core conditioning. We ended with kicking sparring with no punching or grappling. Befause I am a beginner, I had trouble moving my legs smoothly. I pray that as I practice, I will improve :(

see all reviewsI learned a few classes of Muay Thai with a friend, who told me that my limbs were uncoordinated and that I had no talent. This made me a bit discouraged. By chance, I ended up at Stephen's gym, and after just two classes, I grasped a lot and felt a significant difference. I'm really happy! It turns out that it's not entirely about talent; it's about the coach.

see all reviewsHKer instructor: the thailand martial arts surprised me with how complicated they are. There are muay thai dojos everywhere. The way most masters teach muay thai is exactly the same as kickboxing. I was unable to see what is the difference between muay thai and kickboxing. However, this Master shows us the traditional thai martial arts which is significantly more in depth than kickboxong. Krabi Krabong looks like FMA’s kalis/arnis/escrima at first glance. However, when look more in detail, they alsp have quite a lot of differences.

The Professor taught me lots of drills, including how to escape while my enemy has pinned me down, and also how to sweep my enemy while he has mounted me. We ended up with 3 rounds of sparring so that everyone goes with everyone. Because I am a 0 degree white belt, I cannot even do a knee on belly properly. My Senpai was walking me through how to put more weight on him, but no matter how hard I tried, he seemed to not feel anything lol!
