I LOVED this class. The instructor was clear with instructions, music was LIT, class was a blast. You don’t have to be an expert, so beginner friendly with screens above to follow and the coach also demos as well. I’ll be back to coach Ri’s class as she was so helpful. Can’t wait to return for class! A tip if you don’t know the easy boxing punches (literally only 6 of them). Just punch the bag it’s the best workout!

John was a great instructor! Very kind and provided modifications for anyone who needed them. It was challenging to hear the instructions over the music, but it was a great workout.

    Fitness Bootcamp

Class has only 3 students (myself included and all female) and Mehdi was professional and effectively correcting our forms. Class is focused on upper+lower body strength training and core training. Because of the small size of class it almost felt like a personal training. I’ve been to many strength training classes and Mehdi is the most serious about forms. If you mostly do workout at home or other classes barely care about your form, I would recommend this class because everything you’ve been doing may be in incorrect forms and hurting your muscles rather than building them. I would say the only downside is that this gym is really hard to find lol there is no visible store sign. If you are in front of the dance center just turn right and go to the side of the building and open the 2nd door.

The class kicked off with a 30-minute warm-up followed by an hour of paired punches, and the vibe was pretty unique compared to other Classpass classes I’ve tried. No signing in or waivers—just walk in and get started, seems like most people are their regular students and they are young, kind of feeling like I'm in a summer camp for boxing. As the only newbie, I struggled to understand what'scoming next during the warm-up. I had to ask the coach for guidance, and he simply told me to grab a rope. Most of the time, I found myself glancing at others to figure out what to do next. During the paired punches, it felt a bit awkward since I was the only woman in the class, so I ended up paired with a guy. Getting punched in the chest was unavoidable—not a huge deal but definitely a bit strange at first. I noticed they offer women-only sessions, but those aren't available on Classpass. That said, it was a solid workout: 90 minutes and I burned over 800 calories! I won't recommend to anyone new to boxing, but if you want to challenge yourself, may be good to try.
