Studio is a bit dated and doesn’t really have any amenities like some other studios. The workout was good though - not too challenging, but well rounded. Just keep in mind there’s other mat and private Pilates sessions happening next to this class so that may be distracting for some people

Toby was AMAZING!! I’ve been coming here for a few months and this was my first class with Toby. WOOOOOW. He has such a calm demeanor and is just so good at what he does. Takes the time to walk you through each step and if you need help, he will be there to help. We did some challenging moves and some that I had never done and it was great. Highly recommend.

    Reformer Classical Flow

Really great first class! It was a bit hard to find because the apartment building wasn’t open yet so we had to get buzzed in. There was also no label saying the studio was on the third floor. But other than that, the class was nice. It wasn’t too difficult, felt more like a stretching class than a strength building. Our instructor was very kind, she didn’t correct our forms though, I wish she did so I knew if i was doing things correctly. Very beautiful studio!

This is my first time with this instructor and I was a little nervous because I’m used to taking the class with a different instructor but I have to say I really liked her teaching style. Alexis was kind and explained things really really well. She threw in some jokes and made me feel really comfortable. She was super encouraging and helped to achieve the proper form. AUTHENTIC MAT PILATES CLASS! Madison genuinely is the best instructor I’ve ever had. She knows Pilates. And knows exactly what she is doing. You may think it is easy, but her class is sneakily challenging. Simple moves but with a twist. She really cares about your form which is the most important thing about Pilates. Will always go to her 9am Friday class

Heat is nice and gentle in this class, not over the top. Perfect start to my morning! Beginner friendly sculpt, and I liked the focus of extra time on fewer movements. Linda was helpful but I found the class way too easy. I think this is much more for beginners or those looking to start working out. If you go to other NYC studios like SLT, Avea or Bodyrok I think you’ll be pretty disappointed. If you are a beginner or more new to exercise you will enjoy this. Wish this had been marked a beginner class.

Alex was great! I’ve been doing Pilates for 10 years both classical and non classical so it’s rare I do moves I’ve never done, but Alex had some good ones! To make it more challenging I think it’d be great if we held some of the exercises for longer times.

I really liked Ashley’s teaching style and emphasis on form. She reminds me of Emily Calhoun in the best way. I also liked her music. I didn’t love her routine- I felt like we could have held the moves for longer and had longer oblique and leg series. There was a girl in the class though who didn’t do any crunching (maybe due to pregnancy?) which was super annoying so that’s something for SLT to consider as a policy since if you’re going to do your own thing for 30% of the class why bother coming?
