    Adult - Ballet - Foundations

Thoughts wrt recent reviews - unless you’re talking about a Wednesday class, these classes are not mislabeled. Tuesday classes ARE classes that require 0 experience, but y’all want 0 experience Day 1 class experiences when the term started 8 to 12 weeks ago. All the studios in the city start their fall terms in Aug/Sept and really slow it down during the first few weeks. After that, all the good teachers still go over basic positions, what a plie/tendu/degage is, and how to access turnout etc every few weeks, but it wouldn’t be fair to people who showed up on day 1, with or without experience, to go over the same exact things every single class because you wanted to start late. If you want a Day 1 experience, see you Day 1 in Jan, May, or Aug - but you are likely capable of more than you think. Most people who show up with 0 experience have a good time and learn a lot if they are *actually* chill about figuring stuff out as they go along. Half the “experienced” regulars in the class who make it a positive environment showed up in the middle of the term with no experience and just kept trucking. ALSO: Corrections in front of the class are a compliment (good teachers only give corrections to people who can handle them or to prevent injury) and a gift for everyone to apply, including more experienced dancers - most have been doing ballet for less than a year or two, which is how long most people need to stay in absolute beginner classes before moving up. You’ll see them practicing the same thing! I truly understand how anxiety inducing those are (I’d break out into cold sweats at first), but this class cured my anxiety and taught me how to focus on myself. Vannessa does have a very irreverent and humorous teaching style that may not be for everyone, using funny stories to make corrections memorable. Idk i love it though. Tl;dr adjust your attitude (haha, pun), just enjoy a fun class with good technical corrections, foundational barres, and challenging across the floors

Launch Class - Intro to Pilates (Beginners only)

For my first ever pilates class I loved it! I appreciate that there are only 5 reformers, allowing for more focused instruction and guidance. My instructor made understanding all the different parts so easy and had a wealth of knowledge on the history of pilates and how that ties in to current practices today. Will definitely be coming back!

I always enjoy going to this class. Heat is great and there is enough room to spread out and not feel like your exchanging sweat with your neighbor. This teacher was good. However, some white noise would go along way to block out the neighbors noise which is very distracting when trying to be zen.

    Tempo (Hot Sculpt + Strength)

Karina is such a great instructor. Her classes are challenging and she’s so encouraging. Her structure is well thought out and you work every muscle and do the moves more than once. This class focuses heavy on HIIT/sculpt which is why I love it so much. Hands down my new go to instructor and sculpt class in the city. I’m hoping that they start to offer this class 2X daily. 🤞🏾🤞🏾

Kat is a great instructor. She gives you specific scenarios to visualize to help you nail the proper form for each move. Overall the class was a bit easy but that is my own issue since I need to learn which springs on the machine will create more resistance and make the moves more challenging.

What a class! I loved every second of it! Leo is a complete professional who was enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge and expertise. He corrected my technique and exercise with such which grace and empathy. He created a very welcoming environment to the class. Restore & Revive

This class rocked. It was a full on mobility and bone/muscle/joint education. I learned so much from Charlie about some specific pains and tight areas of my body I struggle with and left with practical home exercises to improve them. Charlie is very knowledgeable and motivated me to get working on some imbalances in my muscles and joints that we identified during the class. You get a lot more than you sign up for with this one!!
