First time attending any type of HIIT/strength training class. Lucas was awesome and really helpful throughout the whole session. Everyone was welcoming and felt like a real community.

    BPHYROX

To start off, I think the class offered a great workout overall. The coach was extremely nice and understanding. I’m an absolute beginner with the types of exercises done in the CrossFit world, and so I appreciated the coach taking the time to break down the moves for me and repeating out loud what the sequence is for my forgetful mind. The facility is nice too! I would give 5 stars on those aspects. The only comment that I have and hope will be taken as feedback is that I’m not sure how this class would help me with the hyrox race. The exercises that we did yesterday, with the exception of the ski erg that I touched, didn’t really tackle the hyrox workout stations that I would need to know by race day. Of course, it’s important to build strength all around the body in general, but I admit that I need more practice with the actual movements done in hyrox (I.e, I have never done sled pulls before or could use extensive training on wall balls). This is why I knocked down my rating for yesterday’s class. I’m hoping that future classes will incorporate these specific hyrox exercises so that it helps many of us practice and become familiar with the stations on race day. Nonetheless, I look forward to continuing my training with this facility!
