    BJJ Fundamentals

Black belt instructor: LOTS of studentd(didnt bother counting). The professor showed me how to sweep my enemy when I have a lasso on one side, and spider guard at the other side by releasing the lasso and hooking the ankle and drop my enemy to the other side and then slide his leg down to my armpit and do an ankle lock, then push him to get up. If he defends it by back stepping, I swing my leg up into a triangle while he is busy backstepping. If my enemy is much bigger than me, I may have trouble locking the triangle. Instead, I lock into a diamond shape over his shoulders and then submit him with an armbar instead. Afterwards, we sparred. Because I am a 0 degree white belt, I was unable to defend myself when rolling with the Professor. His arm bar attack came out of nowhere. It was so swift that the moment I started defending, it was already too late. The armbar was so strong that I tapped immediately to avoid permanent damage to my elbow. I pray that as I practice, I will improve :(

Great first class! The class was a good combination of technical and conditioning. I learned a useful new combo, and made new friends too. Coach was friendly and helpful as well. I enjoyed the sparring after class as well!

    Boxing Class

First time joining the class, unfortunately to realise I was the only girl 😅😂 But Nik as my instructor was very nice and accommodating! Not just in terms of managing the difficulty (between advanced and beginner) but also gender differences (definitely was not as fit as the men, haha). He taught us the fundamentals of boxing and made sure we had fun! Do be prepared for a total sweaty workout even as a beginner (given that you push yourself to the limit)!
